Frequently Asked Questions
What songs will Miranda Lambert Play in Concert?
Miranda Lambert is the leading country pop songstress right now, and for good reason. Her blend of good old fashioned country ethos with a pop sensibility and sophisticated image makes for a captivating blend. This plays out on her setlist on any given night as she manages to change it up often, play power ballads against upbeat rockers, and generally deliver a dynamic and imposing set of material.
The changes to her setlist is frequent and welcome. The title track from her latest album, Platinum, is played bright and early or much later in the set after a string of older tracks. Some songs are omitted entirely from many setlists, such as “Hard Staying Sober” which is a darker narrative driven song, or “Makin Plans” which is either saved towards the end of the set or left off entirely. Her willingness to mix material has a lot to do with her lack of many real concrete singles that appear at every show. Her mainstream success is only recent, and she has a back catalog of material not so many people have heard in general audiences.
There are three to four standard concert tunes. These include “Fastest Girl in Town,” “Baggage Claim,” and “Over You.” These are all from Lambert’s 2011 breakthrough, Four the Record. She had success with Revolution in 2009, but this one blew it all wide open. That record is represented with “Heart Like Mine” and “The House That Built Me.” She throws in “White Liar” from this record as well, but not at every show.
It is her 2013 release Platinum that steals the show with about five appearances. She infrequently closes or performs “Somethin Bad” towards the end of the set, and she may play “Automatic” and “Priscilla” roughly 75% of the time. The furthest Miranda Lambert goes back is to her 2005 release, Kerosene. This was her major label debut which followed an independent release about four years earlier. She performs the title track, and it is the only one from the album to make the cut.

Who is opening the show?
The first of two opening acts is Justin Moore. Moore is touring on the weight of his third studio release, Off the Beaten Path. This 2013 album was not quite as successful as his previous two, but garnered rave reviews.
Down to Earth country rocker, Thomas Rhett, is rounding out the line-up. His debut release, It Goes Like This, dropped back in 2013, but it debuted strong. The title track to the release topped the Country Airplay charts at #1. Both acts perform for about 30 minutes.
Concert Reviews
“During “Famous in a Small Town,” video behind Lambert showed a collection of Syracuse scenes (that looked like they were from a Google images search) and celebrities from the area like Richard Gere, Phish drummer Jon Fishman and actor-director Bobcat Goldthwait…Wearing a black tank top and a sparkly skirt, she was at her best on the ballad “The House That Built Me.” The moment everyone will remember, however, is when she cried during a performance of “Over You.” – Geoff Herbert of Syracuse Entertainment Press
“Packing more musical heat than any of her country music contemporaries would dare to muster, the diminutive star offered up a 90 minute set of vitriolic “done somebody wrong” (and wait to you see what I have planned for revenge) songs that proved she is the real face (and attitude) of new country music.” – Donnie Moorhouse of Mass Live
“More Lambert sass came with “Platinum,” “All Kinds of Kinds” and “Mama’s Broken Heart.” She showed her softer side, as well, with songs like “Over You,” cowritten by husband Shelton about his older brother, who was killed in a car accident when Shelton was just a teenager.” – Molly Rossiter of The Gazette
