Frequently Asked Questions
What songs are featured on Korn’s setlist?
Korn stays pretty consistent with their setlist. The first half goes largely unchanged, and leans towards their last couple albums. The back half of the setlist includes classic nu-metal tracks such as “Freak on a Leash” from their breakthrough Follow the Leader and setlist standard “Coming Undone.”
One bizarre change is the switch of debut album cut and fan favorite, “Blind.” The track is sometimes used as an opener, but on the opposite spectrum they use it as a total show closer for the evening. It works perfectly in both ways, so if you don’t hear the song earlier in the evening expect it to make its presence known as the band closes the night out.
“Falling Away from Me” is the other opener when “Blind” is saved for later, and it leads directly into a string of newer tracks from 2011’s The Path of Totality and 2013’s The Paradigm Shift. This includes “Love & Meth” from the group’s newest release and “Narcissistic Cannibal,” the dubstep-inspired electronic jam from The Path of Totality.
The band keeps things quite balanced, even giving critically underwhelming records such as Korn III and Take a Look in the Mirror a chance to shine. Rarely is any one album ignored entirely, except for perhaps the lost and forgotten 2007 untitled record from Korn that has not been present in a setlist in quite a few years.
The band does omit some more popular songs, such as “Evolution” and “Twisted Transistor.” It is not as if the band needed to make a lot of room for new album cuts. They only perform six songs total from their last three to four releases, and end up adding plenty of 90’s hits for their long time fans to their repertoire. Below is a typical setlist you might see on the upcoming Rockstar Mayhem Festival Tour.
Falling Away from Me
Twist
Got the Life
Love & Meth
Narcissistic Cannibal
Dead Bodies Everywhere
Spike in My Veins
Get Up!
Did My Time
Shoots and Ladders
Coming Undone
Here to Stay
Never Never
Freak on a Leash
Clown
Good God
Blind
Can I expect the band to feature any covers?
Korn released an excellent Greatest Hits album a few years back that showcases their skills with cover material. It also included a wonderful rendition of Pink Floyd’s ever dark and mysterious hit from the seminal album The Wall, “Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2.” The band does pull out the gem to perform at certain select shows, but it is becoming less and less common.
How long is a Korn concert?
As part of the Mayhem Festival tour, Korn has to share the stage with as many as eighteen other bands throughout the day. Korn has been drawing the number two slot behind Avenged Sevenfold which affords them about 100 minutes of set time.
Who is Korn’s publicist or press contact?
The group is working with the Mitch Schneider Organization (MSO). The company has duel locations in Los Angeles and Nashville, and you can contact either Mitch Schneider or Alexandra Greenberg via email or via the company phone number (818) 380-0400.
How can I get presale tickets for Korn’s upcoming tour?
The Rockstar Mayhem Festival is offering presale tickets available through a LiveNation presale usually the day before the general onsale. You can download their mobile app for iPhone to find out more about this opportunity. While not a presale option Citi Cardmember Preferred tickets do reserve a special batch of tickets for cardholders. A Citi card is required and these are put onsale the same day and time as the general onsale.
Concert Reviews
“Walking up ready to go to the Fillmore on Tuesday night, and seeing Korn on the marquee built an excitement that was fulfilled in every way. With an opener like “Asking Alexandria” to boost the energy in the room and get everyone ready to rock out, Korn was set up for nothing but success. The energy in the Fillmore was oozing with fans of all ages and walks of life. As the band came out and started with the classic all-time favorite “Blind,” the crowd started to go crazy and everyone was READY.” – Laura Pepera of Hear Magazine
“But what is a Korn concert without songs from their first two albums -their self-titled debut and “Life Is Peachy”? The latter includes”Twist,” a collection of gibberish uttered by lead singer Jonathan Davis. From Korn’s first album, however, came the dynamic and much anticipated”Blind,” a mix of bagpipes and nursery rhymes in “Shoots and Ladders” and the screaming in “Ball Tongue.” – Michael Melville of Teen Ink
“After traveling through lesser-loved tracks such as “Lies” and “No Place to Hide,” they barreled through the five requisite tracks from their Decembermber album, The Path of Totality. “Chaos Lives In Everything,” with its overwhelming nod to the genre Korn now insists it created, cued such bittersweet and sour overtones that one man, seated in a wheelchair in the balcony for most of the show, briefly stood up to freak out.” – Eric Gruneisen of the West Word Blog
