Frequently Asked Questions
What songs will Brand New play in concert?
Brand New is perhaps one of the most talented bands in contemporary music. Though they take their time with releasing records, they have gone through a multitude of different sounds throughout their career. 2001’s Your Favorite Weapon was a pop punk masterpiece. Spiraling pop hooks with a generally snarky presence, the album is a far cry from their more current sound, so it comes as little surprise that the band only deploys one song from their pop-oriented debut: “Seventy Times 7.” Sorry, no “Mix Tape” or “Jude Law and a Semester Abroad” for this tour.
The band’s sophomore album, Deja Entendu, was a major stylistic leap, and the band performs close to four songs from it. The choice cuts are a mix between the bigger popular songs and the somewhat forgotten tracks. The big setlist staple is “Sic Transit Gloria… Glory Fades,” but the band also includes the slower “Okay I Believe You, but My Tommy Gun Don’t.” The one perhaps odd pick from the band is “I Will Play My Game Beneath the Spin Light” which is performed halfway through the set.
The band rarely makes any changes, sticking to their core material and adding a few rarely performed songs, such as the one mentioned above. The band sometimes options to perform Daisy opening track “Vices” as the show opener. It is one of their heaviest songs in their entire catalog. They also open with another Daisy tune, “Sink,” which is a lot more thoughtful and methodical. They make for two very different styled openers.
The group’s magnum opus is almost always considered The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. This brooding epic is realized with close to seven songs performed each night.
“Jesus” is hauntingly performed at all shows and is followed by “Degausser” and “You Won’t Know” which completes the band’s closing trifecta and ending the night out. From there, the band performs the incredibly dense, shockingly atmospheric, and masterfully crafted “Limousine,” which has fortunately remained a setlist staple for all this time.

How about any new songs?
Most Brand New fans have eagerly been awaiting a follow-up to 2009’s Daisy. You would think the band would bring out maybe one or two new songs for this tour, but they don’t. There are rumors that Brand New is preparing to debut a new song towards the end of the tour, but for now, they leave fans awaiting their new sound and reinvention.
How long is a Brand New concert?
Brand New performs for at least 100 minutes each show, just shy of a fully realized two hour set.
How do I get access to presale tickets for Brand New’s tour?
Brand New presale tickets are almost impossible to find, for most presale offers through CitiNational sold out within minutes of going live. Your best bet is to sift through the official Brand New website sponsored and upheld by Front Gate Tickets. Presale tickets are infrequently offered as the shows come closer to their date.
Who is Brand New’s publicist and press contact?
You should contact Andre Ellis at aellis@apanewyork.com for all media, booking, and promotional inquiries. The group is associated with Blackbox Entertainment for their media and management. You can contact them at blackboxemails@gmail.com.
Concert Reviews
“Instead of bringing up the lights and announcing their prescence, Brand New just launched into “Vices,” one of their heaviest songs with an explosion of light and sound, and followed it up with another track from Daisy, “Gasoline.” They followed this with two more intense tracks from Devil and God, “Degausser” and “You Won’t Know.” – Kate Gasch of Sifting Through Static
“Going into last Saturday’s show I was in that weird giddy head space that’s specifically reserved for adults revisiting the things that carried them through their formative years. I was all set to sit to sing along with like-minded fans to all of our favorite Brand New songs under the stars with the Philly Skyline at our backs. The weather was perfect, the beer was flowin’ and I was congratulating myself for sneaking in some vokda-laced gummy bears, because I love sugar, I love booze and I have zero shame.” – Brenna Adams of the Philadelphia City Paper
“Coming out of the Daisy portion of the night, the band took it back to Deja Entendu cuts creating what I thought were the most evoking songs of the night. With the crowd belting out every word and bouncing to the pop punk choruses. The band really kept to the music performance with minimal banter and calling upon the crowd. They didn’t need to as the crowd was a single body of singing and moshing to echo the vocals of lead singer Jesse Lacey.” – Caleb Mihalik of Promo Press Live
