Frequently Asked Questions
What songs will 3 Doors Down play in concert?
The post-grunge group, 3 Doors Down, has remained sizable players in the evolution of modern rock since their late 90’s inception. The group broke into the mainstream with their famous music video and huge rock hook, “Kryptonite,” from 2000’s The Better Life. Being 14 years gone from the album, and having quite a few popular releases after it, you would think The Better Life would not be well represented. Interestingly, it makes up a good portion of the setlist, often rivaling the amount of tunes heard from their latest 2011 release, Time of My Life. This includes the second breakthrough single, “Loser,” and the critically forgotten “Duck and Run.”
The band did not have much success with Time of My Life. Despite being the group’s latest album, it is only represented with one live showing of the title track. Sometimes even that one song is switched with “When You’re Young” from the same album.
The band likes to switch out their songs without changing out the balance between the albums. For example, the they play either “Away from the Sun” or “Here Without You” from their 2002 release, Away From the Sun. Ultimately, the band performs at least a tune or two from all their major studio releases, with an obvious slant towards the debut and sophomore record. They also bring out a still untitled new song from their upcoming record, expected for release late 2014.

Does the band perform any covers?
There are a few covers on the table, but they are not played every time and it’s not surprising to see the band perform no covers at all. Two songs remain a bit more common. Metallica’s power ballad, “Nothing Else Matters,” is often performed towards the end of the set, pushing “Kryptonite” out of the closing slot. The second cover, a rendition of Garth Brook’s, “The Dance,” flexes their versatility and interests.
Is this an acoustic show?
This is being dubbed the Songs from the Basement Tour, and continues 3 Doors Down fascination with their acoustic sound and style. It worked brilliantly in 2013 with their co-headlining outing with rock group, Daughtry. This is through and through an acoustic show, but is likely the last the band will embark on for a long time, especially since their new album is expected soon and will usher in a new sound for the group.
How long is a 3 Doors Down concert?
3 Doors Down most often flexes a 90 minute setlist across approximately 14-16 songs.
How do I get access to presale tickets for 3 Doors Down’s tour?
Fans can expect to find presale tickets through the popular American Express ticketing platform. They are covering almost the entire tour, but you need an American Express card to make the purchase.
Presale Passwords Info steps in to fill in the gap not covered by American Express. Though they generally charge a modest fee, the service allows non-card holders access to high-profile presale tickets for 3 Doors Down.
Who is 3 Doors Down’s publicist and press contact?
The band is associated with the international publicity firm, The Agency Group. They have US offices in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, and Toronto and international offices in London and Malmo. You can contact any of them directly, specifying the artist and concern.
Concert Reviews
“Arnold’s voice was strong throughout the night – perhaps never more so than on those two songs; filled with hurt as he harmonized with guitarist Chet Roberts on the former. Both those songs were offered early in the set, as if to try to convince the audience. But no convincing was needed; the nearly sold-out crowd loudly lets its pleasure be known all night. He also was at his most emphatic on “When You’re Young,” snapping out the lyrics.” – John J. Moser of Lehigh Valley Music
“3 Doors Down’s set was a bit skimpier on the lights but provided no less in a full rocking set which included most of the Louisiana band’s major hits. Hitting the stage running 3DD stormed out with “Time of My Life” and “It’s not my Time” and didn’t look back. The veteran band’s set was extremely tight and lead singer Brad Arnold ‘s voice as solid as ever.” – Sean Derrick of the Examiner
“While the band has gone through a few member changes over the past couple of years, their current lineup’s performance Saturday evening was nothing short of amazing. The impeccable sound of the Events Center made you think you were in the Casino’s other venue The Bear’s Den, for a brief moment. Seeing the band perform in a cozy acoustic setting helped heat things up even if for only one evening.” – Joseph Suto of the Rock Show Critique
